'Growing Cloud' is a project from the experiment research design studio using AIGC, ChatGPT, Python and Grasshopper. Starting with ChatGPT, DALL-E-2 and Midjourney were used as concept tools to generate and test the concept form. The series of pavilions serve as a gateway to contemplation, providing a space for reflection and connection with the natural world. The movement of the clouds followed the topography and was influenced by each site's conditions. The convergence of the translucent balloons and the sky blurs the boundaries between the built environment and nature, creating a seamless integration.
Computational thinking has been discussed throughout the design process, and coding logic and the poetic narrative have always been seen as contradictory. This project is an unfinished project that continues reflecting on both technical tools and computational thinking.
